Professor Braden Hill (he/him) is a Noongar (Wardandi) man from the south-west of Western Australia and currently serves as Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Students, Equity and Indigenous) at Edith Cowan University (ECU). Previously, he was the Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Equity and Indigenous) and Head of Kurongkurl Katitjin, ECU’s Centre for Indigenous Australian Education and Research. With extensive expertise in university student services, Indigenous education, and research, Professor Hill has led numerous equity and inclusion initiatives both within higher education and beyond. He is also a recognised national leader in Indigenous/LGBTQIA+ research. At ECU he leads Student Life, Access and Equity, Kurongkurl Katitjin, People and Culture, and ECU Sports. Before joining ECU, he was the Director of Aboriginal Education, Equity and Inclusion at Murdoch University, where he oversaw the Kulbardi Aboriginal Centre, Health Services, and the Equity and Social Inclusion Office.
