Description
Staff and student safety, well-being and belonging are central to a thriving university experience. In this session, we will outline national initiatives to strengthen protections and support across campus including legislation for the National Code to Prevent and Respond to Gender-Based Violence, planning for the next iteration of the National Student Safety Survey, the findings of the AHRC’s Racism@Uni Survey, and the establishment of the National Student Ombudsman. We will also explore the role of staff, students, and university leaders in making our campuses safer and more inclusive.
