ATEM
Description
ATEM is the professional association that enables excellence in tertiary education leadership and management.
Our members represent the breadth and diversity of the tertiary education sector. They work for universities, TAFES, polytechnics, wānangas, private providers and other organisations across Australia, Aotearoa/New Zealand and the broader Pacific region. Comprising of both institutions and individuals, our members align with professional and academic spheres of work, sometimes both. They are leaders, managers or specialists in their field. They are connected through the shared belief in the importance of the sector in shaping our future.
It is this rich diversity that makes ATEM distinctive as a member organisation. We play an important role in removing barriers to collaboration across the sector, building connections and seeding collaboration regardless of specialisation, role and location.
Our institutional members recognise the importance of lifelong learning, of supporting their people through professional development, and the need to invest in the future of the workforce. Our individual members know the immense benefit of collaboration and learning across the sector, of investing in their own careers, and giving back to the sector. The common thread is a shared journey of continuous learning and improvement, riding the changing waves and shaping a rich and diverse network.
