Skye is an accomplished CEO and senior executive with 20 years' experience leading advocacy, policy and organisational transformation across the health and not-for-profit sectors. Prior to joining COSBOA, Skye served as CEO of Optometry Australia, the national peak professional body, where she guided the organisation through major change while enhancing member value and sector influence. She negotiated and executed the integration of three state-based organisations into a national structure, led a team of 40+ staff, and drove significant advocacy wins including changes to Medicare billing conditions, maintenance of government-funded programs, and regulatory reforms.

Skye has worked intensely with governments, regulators, and stakeholders throughout her career, securing significant policy reforms and funding outcomes. Her earlier career included senior policy roles at Australian General Practice Network, Palliative Care Australia, and Hepatitis Australia. She currently serves as Vice President and Board Director of Allied Health Professions Australia. She holds an MBA (with a Social Impact major) from UNSW, a Postgraduate Diploma in Public Health, and has completed the Company Directors Course (AICD), graduating with merit.

She believes that small business is the backbone of the Australian economy and that peak bodies like COSBOA play a vital role in ensuring small business voices are heard and represented in policy decisions.
