Sanara Galhenage is a Bachelor of Laws student at Swinburne University of Technology and served as the Inaugural President of the Swinburne Student Association in 2025.

During her term, she led the transition to a genuinely student-led association and strengthened the role of student representation within the university. Her work focused on embedding student perspectives in institutional decision-making and improving how students engage with governance processes.

She has worked closely with senior leaders to advocate for equitable support and meaningful consultation. Sanara is committed to ensuring that student voice is not symbolic, but actively shapes the institutions that represent and educate students.
