Bjorn Jarvis is the head of the Workforce Futures Program at Jobs and Skills Australia. His team is responsible for JSA’s regional data, analysis and insights, and over the past year has also included the development of the Jobs and Skills Roadmap for Regional Australia. The Roadmap highlights the opportunities and challenges for Regional Australia, and the important role that system actors, like higher education, will play on the road ahead. Prior to joining JSA, Bjorn spent 20 years at the ABS, where he led their labour statistics program and a range of areas responsible for regional statistics. He is passionate about the role of data and research in highlighting important stories about Australia, to support informed decisions.
