Born and bred in regional Australia, Kevin and his wife Karen live on a property near Lismore, where they raised their three children.

After completing an economics degree, Kevin spent more than a decade in Sydney building a successful career in finance as a bond trader. When it came time to raise a family, he and Karen returned to the Northern Rivers and Karen’s hometown of Lismore.

Committed to his community, Kevin was elected to the House of Representatives in 2013 as the Federal Member for Page in northern New South Wales, and was re-elected in 2016, 2019, 2022 and 2025. He has served as Deputy Speaker and on multiple parliamentary committees, including chairing the Standing Committee on Tax and Revenue from 2016 to 2018.

Kevin was appointed to the Ministry in 2020 as Assistant Minister to the Deputy Prime Minister and later also served as Assistant Minister for Local Government, roles he held until May 2022. He is currently the Shadow Minister for Trade, Investment and Tourism and the Deputy Manager of Opposition Business in the House of Representatives.
